“Three spirits, seven senses” is a Taoist doctrine regarding the makeup of the human soul. Lost of the Seven Senses, the title of this series, describes a deeply debilitating state of shock, anxiety or fear in which the human body seems to have lost the ability to contain and control itself. Each image represents one of these seven bodily senses.
